To accomplish these objectives, the Director of Department of Risk Management structures functional divisions as follows:

• Manage the County health, dental and life insurance benefits plans including enrollments, vendor payment processing, service delivery and contract compliance.
• Facilitate communication between employees, Risk Management and insurance carriers regarding coverage, plans and other matters impacting employees.
• Manage the County's federally mandated Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) program. Manage the Unemployment Compensation program required by Illinois statute.
